Mission Statement

EDUCATE current and future generations of Americans about Filipino-Americans -their history, personal stories, contributions and hopes for a more inclusive and unified country. Advance awareness of social and environmental issues affecting our world.

EMPOWER  individuals or groups by providing information and resources to raise the profile and aspirations  of this “hidden” Asian minority ;  emphasize the importance of their narratives as part of the American experience.  We hope this empowerment will encourage more leaders within the Filipino- American community and in the national arena.

EMBRACE the process of ethnic identity development. Research reveals ethnic identity development is related to psychological well-being. (Phinney,JS) Aspire to know  and embrace one’s own ethnic identity (s)  to foster pride and enhance mental health.
